
Whether it be for your first triathlon, to improve your efficiency for fitness swimming or even to get out of the water quicker and more refreshed at the World Championships you can benefit from personal swim coaching.
One To Ones:
The first session costs just £38 and lasts an hour (£32.50 without stroke assessment and personalised sessions). In this session, you will will swim a timed swim where Karl will assess your stroke efficiency and identify all faults within it. Having discussed your personal aims and objectives and what you are trying to achieve the remainder of the session will incorporate introductions to specific drills that will improve your stroke. These drills you can take away and practice before your next session as many are new to swimmers who have not previously been coached.
Following sessions are £22.50 for a 30 minute session or £32.50 for a full hour. These sessions follow a structured progression for your stroke specific to you whilst still following the basics of Body Position, Leg Action, Arm Action, Breathing, Timing and Co-ordination.
Whilst a course of coaching is recommended to allow for a progressive improvement, many swimmers have found one initial session giving them immediate improvement and a more thorough knowledge of their stroke and key areas of improvement. These swimmers have taken this knowledge away to practice for themselves in general lane swimming sessions or the group coaching session on a Wednesday evening before returning to Karl down the line and take the next step on their journey of improvement.
In addition to the personal stroke development and coaching, you will also receive a full written stroke analysis and two personally designed sessions to help you understand and develop the key areas from the one to one. These will be sent by email within 48 hours of your session so you are able to have a written breakdown of your stroke and enable you to use the drills given to you in two key sessions to improve your technique, speed and endurance. Please note the stroke analysis and personally designed sessions only apply to the hour coaching sessions and NOT the half hour ones.
Personal Coaching Programme:
Whether you are training for fitness, to complete your first sprint triathlon or wishing to lower your times to win your age group for tritathlon or master swimming a personally designed swim programme is THE way forward!!! Many triathletes and swimmers find themselves training hard by themselves trying to remember bits and pieces from coaching sessions or triathlon club sessions but find only small improvements or none at all and are unsure whether what they are doing is the most effective and efficient use of their pool time. If this sounds like you then why not benefit from a continuous personal swim programme specifically designed to make the most effective use of your training time and meet your individual goals.
The programme consists of an initial hour long one to one as described above followed by a personally designed programme of sessions to fit in with your time commitments to meet your goals. The programme comprises not only water work but also incorporates dryland training if necessary to optimise your training time. Sessions are sent weekly by email and ongoing support is available if you have been unable to make a session or finding difficulties completing the sets etc.
There is no ongoing contractual obligation to sign up for a minimum term as you can simply pay month to month in advance.
